Our own unique March Madness spilled into the Salish Sea when a mysterious trio of killer whales was discovered near Vancouver, BC on March 6th. After their short foray in Canada, they moved their explorations south into Puget Sound. Their presence has caused quite a buzz in both the research and regional whale watch communities: they've wandered close to shorelines, had brief social interactions with some Bigg's killer whale matrilines that frequent Puget Sound, and have been emitting puzzling vocalizations.

What do we know about these whales? What don't we know? Join Monika Wieland Shields, Co-founder and Director of the Orca Behavior Institute, for a Patreon-exclusive talk about these "truly transient," enigmatic T419s on Monday evening, April 6th, at 6pm PST.
