Help protect the Endangered Species Act!

Important action alert: your comments are needed by December 22nd to help protect the Endangered Species Act!
The current administration is proposing changes that would gut key aspects of protections for threatened and endangered species in the US. These would include removing automatic protections for threatened species, reducing what can be considered critical habitat, prioritizing economic interests over science, and opening pathways to remove non-species from the list. (For example, the Southern Resident killer whales are listed as a "distinct population segment", not a species.)
The comment process is a bit convoluted in that four separate comments are needed, but the BOLD Action Coalition made up of OBI, Orca Network, and Whale Scout has put together the condensed action guide linked below to help you through the process. We summarize the key changes, suggest talking points, and provide direct links to each of the comment portals here:

Your public comments can be brief, but it's best if they are in your own words, and it's important that as many people as possible register their opposition to these changes. Add a note in the comments on this post once you've taken action so we know how many of you we have reached!
