📣 Registration is NOW OPEN for a brand new Whale U course: 50 Shades of Gray Whale!

50 Shades of Gray Whale is a 14-week course designed to deepen appreciation and understanding for gray whales. Participants will learn about gray whales during lectures given by whale experts, by reading scientific papers and discussing them as a group, through learning to draw gray whales, and through a series of field trips that provide an opportunity to encounter Sounders gray whales via land-based and boat-based excursions.

No matter your background, skill set, or familiarity with gray whales, all are welcomed! We will begin with the basics and work through gray whale natural history before advancing to more recent topics, all while in community with other whale enthusiasts.

*If you are not local or cannot participate in the in-person component of this course--worry not! There is also a virtual course option available!
