We've created our own spin on the event: Give Bigg's!
At the beginning of each May is Give Big, a Washington State event that promotes supporting non-profits to invest in the future we want to live in. This year at OBI, we've created our own spin on the event: Give Bigg's!
Our mission is to inspire conservation of wild killer whales through non-invasive research, bold advocacy, and science-based education. While our original field projects were Southern Resident killer whale based, the mammal-eating Bigg's killer whales have now become a major part of everything we do. It's been amazing to watch the public get to know these whales better over the last decade right alongside us, so now we want know which common Salish Sea matriline is your favorite.
In this fundraising campaign which lasts through May 5th, you can vote with your dollars for your favorite Bigg's killer whale group. The winning matriline will be featured on a brand new custom sticker sheet released this summer with stickers of each whale in the group plus accessory stickers. The highest overall donor to the campaign as a whole and the higher donor to the winning matriline will win free sticker sheets.
